2012
STUDENT CHALLENGE

The awards evening was a great success, and the winners will soon be planning their trip to Hong Kong to job shadow Mark Shanahan from Macquarie Group, Asia.

Job shadow a senior executive in Asia

In 2011, Australian business success story Robyn Denholm, Chief Financial Officer of Juniper Networks, a leading high performance networking company headquartered in the heart of Silicon Valley mentored the Student Challenge winners in an once-in-a-lifetime, career-launching opportunity. The winners were flown to San Francisco, where they spent a week shadowing Ms Denholm, a Fellow Chartered Accountant.

In 2012, you too have the opportunity to job shadow a senior executive in Asia, meeting, presenting to and networking with top business executives. The Overall Student Challenge winner(s) will receive a letter of recognition from the judging panel, media publicity, an Apple© iPad® and the opportunity to job shadow Mark Shanahan who is the CFO for Macquarie Group's Asian operations.

Mark is based in Macquarie's Singapore office and regularly travels between various offices across the region. He has been with Macquarie for nearly 10 years and holds both Australian and South African Chartered Accountant qualifications. The successful students will have the opportunity to accompany Mark to meetings with some of Macquarie's senior business leaders as well as other Chartered Accountants in the region.

More about the prizes for 2012

Both the winners of the First Year Student Challenge and the winners of the Overall Student Challenge will each win an iPad (3G + wi-fi). You will also be presented with a letter of recognition from the 2012 Student Challenge judging panel.

The state finalists two day trip to Sydney

The state finalists will be flown to Sydney for an abundance of experiences that money can't buy including a personal shopping trip and presentation skills training.

All the state finalists will be given the opportunity to improve their presenting skills with presentation experts.

Plus, all state finalists will also receive an exclusive corporate attire styling session with OXFORD.

Being fitted out in corporate attire and learning about presenting will help state finalists prepare for the final event - the 'Student Challenge Awards Evening 2012' where all will have the opportunity to network with prospective employers.
